STE(A)M for tomorrow’s leaders and innovators
HBCU Celebration
Since the Year of the Return in 2019, Ghana has positioned itself as the focal point for re-establishing socioeconomic relationships between the traditional and continental diaspora. In addition to leading such international efforts, Ghana has heavily invested in initiatives that address national interests concerning renewable energy, food security, and intergenerational collaboration. Such interests are of equal priority within diasporic communities and are especially ingrained in political and educational institutions within the African American community, like Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Ghana and the African American community address the aforementioned interests with similar strategies. According to the Ghana Renewable Energy Plan of 2021, Ghana has laid groundwork for solar energy integration into the national grid, with plans for complete integration by 2030. Likewise, HBCUs like Howard University and Prairie View Agricultural and Mechanical University have partnered with international companies to expand regional implementation of existing solar energy technologies and increase student engagement in the innovation of such technologies.
We invite our HBCU leaders of tomorrow to join ROAR! Global®2024 for HBCU Day globally. This presentation is an invitation to STE(A)M students, law students, and business students to participate in our online think tank that addresses solar energy, agricultural innovation by combining public and private investment with intergenerational participation from both Ghana and the traditional Diaspora.
Join us for a day of celebrating our intellectual genius and the leadership of today and tomorrow in the unique on-line experience specifically designed for our student leaders.
